Themed scheduling demos: /d1 and /d2 on Free2Meet
Two tabletop-inspired skins — Campaign Chronicle at free2meet.app/d1 and Tactical Battle Map at /d2 — each with light and dark mode.
Free2Meet is one product with a default look — and optional themed entry points. Visit free2meet.app/d1 for Campaign Chronicle (crimson parchment, brass accents) or free2meet.app/d2 for Tactical Battle Map (forest greens, map-table warmth). Same poll workflow; different personality.
We built these demos for groups who want scheduling that feels like their hobby night — D&D campaigns, wargame clubs, board-game meetups — without giving up the heatmap, best-times ranking, and no-login respondent flow you get on the main site. This guide walks through what each theme looks like in light and dark mode, how they differ, and what happens when you create a poll from a themed URL.
/d1 and /d2 are themed front doors — not separate apps. Create from either URL and your poll keeps that skin.
Try the demos
- free2meet.app/d1 — Campaign Chronicle preset. Warm parchment surfaces, crimson heatmap cells, brass highlights.
- free2meet.app/d2 — Tactical Battle Map preset. Meadow greens, map-table background art, tighter corners.
- Main site — free2meet.app uses the default Free2Meet theme if you prefer a neutral look.
Campaign Chronicle (/d1)
Campaign Chronicle is our crimson-and-parchment skin — inspired by character sheets and campaign notes rather than a literal game license. Light mode leans warm ivory with readable charcoal type; dark mode inverts to near-black slate with glowing crimson availability cells. The heatmap uses a blush-to-crimson ramp so overlap still reads at a glance.
Tactical Battle Map (/d2)
Tactical Battle Map trades crimson for forest green and river-blue accents. Light mode feels like a sunlit table with painted terrain; dark mode adds a deeper scrim so the map art stays atmospheric without fighting the grid. Corner radii are slightly sharper than /d1 — a small visual cue that you are on the tactical preset.
/d1 vs /d2 — quick comparison
- Palette — /d1 crimson & gold on parchment; /d2 forest green & brass on map-table art.
- Typography — both use Outfit for display type; /d1 adds IBM Plex Mono for meta labels.
- Heatmap — same logic (darker = more overlap); colour ramps match each theme.
- Workflow — identical create → share → respond → pick flow; no extra login on either.
- Best for — /d1 when your group lives in narrative campaigns; /d2 for map-forward tabletop nights.
How theme URLs carry into polls
When you create an event from /d1 or /d2, the share link stays in that namespace — for example free2meet.app/d1/your-poll-slug. Respondents see the same themed grid and heatmap; organisers get the same best-times banner and share modal. Polls created on the main site stay at free2meet.app/your-poll-slug with the default theme.
- Open /d1 or /d2 and start create event.
- Set dates, times, and duration as usual — see how to create a poll.
- Share the namespaced link; everyone marks availability without an account.
- Read the themed heatmap and confirm — heatmap guide.

Questions we get
Do /d1 and /d2 cost extra?
No. They are themed entry points to the same free scheduling workflow.
Can I switch theme after creating a poll?
The theme is tied to the URL namespace when you create. For a different look, create a new poll from /d1, /d2, or the main site.
Does dark mode sync across devices?
The toggle saves in your browser for that themed home. Each visitor picks light or dark independently.
Which theme should our D&D group use?
Try both demos — /d1 if you want parchment-and-crimson campaign energy; /d2 if you prefer map-table greens.
